Alamo Belgium Rental Terms for travel between 21-Nov-2014 and 31-Dec-2019
An initial, non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. Accepted credit cards are
Visa and MasterCard (transaction fee of 1.95% applies).
The balance is to be paid directly to the supplier on arrival.
The supplier acceptable methods of payment are: Visa, MasterCard, Amex, National Charge Cards & National Vouchers.
Cash, Diners, Travellers Cheques and Eurocheques are not accepted.
A deposit of EUR 275.00 + 20% of the estimated rental charges is applicable.
A credit card is always required for the deposit, which is held on the card until the car is returned & checked.
|Additional Driver Policy|
|Additional driver's fee is EUR 28.93 + tax per rental. There is no maximum number of additional driver's allowed per rental.|
The minimum rental age is as follows:
19 years for car groups: ECMR, ECAR, EZMR, CDMR, CCMR, CWMR, CDAR, IVMR, SDMR, SWMR, SDAR, FVMR, SVMR.
25 years for car groups: FDMR, FDAR LDAR, LDMR.
There is a young driver's charge applicable as follows:
EUR 24.79 + tax per day, with a maximum charge of EUR 247.90 + tax per rental for driver's aged 19 - 20 years.
EUR 20.66 + tax per day, with a maximum charge of EUR 206.60 + tax per rental for driver's aged 21 - 22 years.
EUR 12.40 + tax per day, with a maximum charge of EUR 124.00 + tax per rental for driver's aged 23 - 24 years.
Please note: The maximum charge is not loaded in the system, so this will be applied at time of pickup if applicable.
There is no maximum age limit.
|Condition of Vehicle|
|Vehicle must be returned, normal wear & tear expected, in the same condition as when rented. If special cleaning is required a separate charge will be made directly to the customer|
|Cross Border Policy|
Cross border is permitted into the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland & UK.
It is not permitted to cross the border into any other country.
Customer will just need their driving licence/identity card in order to cross border.
There are no additional charges for cross border rentals.
The driver must present a full valid licence at time of rental.
The minimum driving licence period is 1 year for all cars.
An international driving licence/permit from the customers current residence will be required for non English scripted licences.
|One Way Rentals|
Domestic one way rentals are allowed between all locations in Belgium free of charge.
All cars are allowed for one ways.
International one ways are not allowed.
|Out of Hours Policy|
Out of hours pickups are available on request only, from some locations - please refer to the location additional info.
After Hours charge is EUR 28.93 + tax.
Out of hours drop offs are available at all locations - All rental offices have a key return box.
|Cars must be returned with the same amount of fuel as time of pick up, otherwise the customer will be charged for the missing fuel. The official pump price x 2 (subject to change according to the official pump price)|

Infant Seat (CSI) 0 - 12 months - EUR 37.19 + tax per rental. Replacement amount is EUR 250.00.
Child Seat (CSB) 1 – 3 years - EUR 37.19 + tax per rental. Replacement amount is EUR 250.00.
Toddler Seat (CST) 4 - 7 years - EUR 39.17 + tax per rental. Replacement amount is EUR 250.00.
Snow Chains (SNO) - EUR 7.00 + tax per day, with a maximum charge of EUR 66.00 per rental. Replacement amount is EUR 200.00.
Snow Tires (STR) charge applicable as follows:
Airports and railway locations: EUR 45.00 + tax per day.
All other locations: EUR 50.00 + tax per day.
Replacement amount is EUR 484.00.
Navigation System (NVS) charge applicable as follows:
Downtown locations: EUR 9.92 + tax per day, with a maximum charge of EUR 200.00 + tax per rental.
Airport & Railway Stations: EUR 14.88 + tax per day, with a maximum charge of EUR 200.00 + tax per rental.
Replacement amount is EUR 500.00.
All equipment is on request and available at all locations and for all cars.
All equipment is available for one way rentals, however for the Navigation System (NVS), there is an additional charge of EUR 50.00 + tax for domestic one ways - this charge is not loaded in the system and will be applied at time of pickup if applicable.
CSB is not loaded in the system, so if required,please add to the remarks on the reservation.
Airport Surcharge - EUR 50.00 + tax per rental.
Railway Surcharge - EUR 50.00 + tax perrental.
Eco Tax - EUR 4.00 + tax per rental
An administration fee of EUR 50.00 willbe charged in case of an accident and EUR 30.00 will be charged if a reminder needs to be sent for a Fine that has not been paid by the customer (both charges will be arranged to pay locally).
|Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)|
Collision damage waiver reduces the customer’s damage responsibility to the excess/deductible amount. If CDW is applied to the rental the customer is still responsible for the mandatory excess charge in case of damage. If CDW is declined the renter will be liable for the entire value of the damage/loss. An administration fee of EUR 50.00 will be charged in case of an accident (to be paid locally if applicable). Prices exclude tax.
|Theft Waiver (THW)|
Theft Waiver - reduces the client's financial responsibility for loss or theft to the vehicle to the sum of the deductible. If THW is applied to the rental, the customer is still responsible for the Mandatory Excess Charge in case of theft OR LOSS. If THW not applied to the rental, the customer is responsible for the entire value of the vehicle in case of theft or loss. Prices exclude tax.
Gozen waivers the total client’s financial responsibility for damage and theft to the vehicle. Covers damage to windscreen, mirror, lamp, types. GOZEN do not have any excess charge as reduces the excess charge of CDW to "0". Drivers must be 25 years or over to purchase Gozen. Gozen is only available at the following stations: Antwerpen, Brugge, Brussels, Charleroi, Gent, Namur, Waterloo, Wavre and Zaventem

|Peace of Mind (POM)|
CDW with excess reduced and includes PAI & WWI. POM is not available for car groups: LDAR & LDMR.
Daily price & deductible varies depending on the car group and number of rental days (see below). An administration fee of EUR 50.00 will be charged in case of an accident (to be paid locally if applicable). Prices exclude tax.
|Windscreen & Tyres Cover (WWI)|
Cover in case of breaking of windows, mirrors, lights and tyres. Daily price varies depending on the number of rental days (see below). Prices exclude tax.
|Third Party Liability|
|Third Party Liability is included in the rates. The rented vehicle is covered for Third Party Liability: for property damages and bodily injury up to Euros 100 million.|
|Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)|
Personal Accident Insurance covers in case of bodily damage.
Terms of booking on this website
The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.
When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier's rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.
While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.
Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
